Morecambe Bay Amateur Radio Society (MBARS) has been
established since 1953 and meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday’s of each month, see the Events page, from 7.30pm at the
Bare Village Club, 40 Bare Lane, Morecambe, LA4 6DF. We meet in the Function room. The entrance is on the left of the front of the building. Note: – occasionally, some meetings are held elsewhere.
G4YBS is the club’s callsign. We have regular meetings with talks, demonstrations, radio operating nights and competitions. Anyone interested in finding out more about radio and related areas will
always be made very welcome.
Our Training Officer can provide free support to guide you through the process of getting prepared for the RSGB on-line examinations, required for obtaining your own transmitting licence.
Many of the various amateur radio activities do not require a
licence, such as radio direction finding (fox hunts).
